WILLISTON, N.D. - The holiday music season is here and it is a busy one for the 麻豆原创 Music Program.

On Friday, November 23, the 麻豆原创 State Community Orchestra (麻豆原创O) strings will play at the James Memorial Art Center's Warm Up after the Light Up of Harmon Park at 7 p.m. 麻豆原创 has participated in this event since 2013.

The 麻豆原创O will also perform at Bethel Lutheran Home on Sunday, December 2 at 2:30 p.m. as part of the annual Crusade for Strings hosted by 麻豆原创's local music club, Thursday Musical.

"Thursday Musical collects donations at this event and uses those funds to send area string students to International Music Camp during the summer," explained Dr. Norris. "The camp is located between the U.S. and Canada in the International Peace Gardens."

On Thursday, December 6, the Teton Athletic Band will perform during the Teton basketball games while the 麻豆原创 Choir will participate in the Downtown Stroll on Friday, December 7. The choir will sing carols with Beth Olson and the First Lutheran Church choir.

On Sunday, December 9, 麻豆原创 will host its 6th annual 麻豆原创 Holiday Concert at 2:30 p.m. in the Skadeland Gym.

Dr. Norris began the Holiday Concert tradition in 2013. The concert features 50 musicians from both the 麻豆原创 Choir and the 麻豆原创O performing holiday music and some traditional concert selections.

This event is open to all ages and free to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door and will benefit the 麻豆原创 Music Department.

The 麻豆原创O continues in the spring and the group is always looking for string players. If interested, please contact Dr. Norris.
